A Little More Sam

Ashlee has had a chance to see all the photo's so I thought I'd put just a few more up of Sam. And this gives Dustin a chance to see a few up in KY while he's not unpacking.

Cate in the Morning

I haven't taken any candid pictures of Cate in awhile, so I took quite a few the other day. First thing in the morning seems to be Cate's favorite time of day. She is usually very happy, she talks and smiles alot. She's generally very content. I was on my way to work earlier this week and on my way out the door I took a few of her in this state while being held by her Mom. They are a little on the dark side, the only light coming in was from the front door and I avoid using a flash when I'm taking pictures of her up close. But they show what she's like in the mornings.

Later that same day Jessica decided to give Cate a bath, so I took a few pictures of that. Those turned out really well, we had quite a few good ones. Jessica is going to post some of those soon on her blog so you should check over there.

Happy Birthday Sam

Yesterday was an early first birthday for Sam. He got to take his first swipe at birthday cake and presents. I'm putting up a couple from the party and a few we took afterwards, I'll try to save anymore until Ashlee gets to look at them.

4X400 relay

This was the second race Jaylen competed in. I was able to get a seat fairly close to the finish line for this race which I was excited about. Unfourtanately as the race progressed more and more race officials started standing around in my line of sight, I was a little frustrated. Next year I will have to try to sneak onto the field. It was a great race and the team from Hamlin pushed past Canadian to finish third.

800 meters

This weekend we were at the state track meet watching Jessica's cousin Jaylen compete. We saw a lot of family and had a good time. We really enjoyed watching Jaylen run her two races. She medaled in both. The 800 meter was a pretty exciting finish, Jaylen is now the two-time state champion.
