4th of July

Over the last couple of years our 4th has been pretty routine. We normally eat a hamburger/hotdog and go to the city fireworks show. But the last two years have been a little different. Last 4th of July Jessica and I (and the dog) ran a small fireworks stand outside of Slaton, Tx. It was a totally unique experience, Jessica blogged about it here http://hoping-to-fall.blogspot.com/2008/07/fireworks.html. This year we declined another chance to sell small explosives and went to the metroplex to watch a Ranger's game at the Ballpark in Arlington, and fireworks. We had several friends come and it was a great time. I took a few pictures at the game but tried not to miss the entire game doing it. So here are a few of the game, the fireworks afterward, and our outstanding babysitter who sacrificied her evening to watch Cate while we were at the game. Cate did get to see fireworks; she seemed interested but probably no more so than one of her ceiling fans.
